Q. Who is Crit-IQ for
A. Crit-IQ began as a training tool for Intensive Care trainees who were in the process of taking the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine fellowship exam. It has developed into a useful resource for all practitioners of critical care, from anaesthetics, to emergency physicians to general physicians. Trainees and students will also gain much from Crit-IQ.
Q. How do I join?
A. Simply register your details via the front page. You will have 7 days to review the site before you are required to pay for access, which assists in the development of further functions within the site.
Q. If I get halfway through a section, and come back tomorrow, how do I start where I left off?
A. The best way is to use the “list” view to find where you were, then change to “sequential” view to continue studying.
Q. What are the aims of the study group?
A. The aim of the online study group is to assist those trainees who are attempting to pass the JFICM fellowship exam. History shows that passing the written exam is the major step in passing the exam as a whole.
The focus of the group is twofold. Firstly, there is improved knowledge. By focusing on one question a very well researched, exam focused answer can be generated – this benefits the entire group. Secondly, there is an opportunity to improve how questions are answered. Our comments will focus more on this aspect than on content.
I hope this group helps you in your preparation. Please feel free to send any comments on how it works better.
